Starting 2010, I was fortunate enough to photograph NewYork-Presbyterian’s Amazing Things campaign for Munn Rabôt. Additionally, I was challenged with redesigning the microsite www.nyp.org/amazingthings, which launched today, featuring all of the patients from the campaign.
Josh Dreier was the developer that helped bring this site to life. All images, videos and graphics were optimized at 2X resolution for viewing on the new iPad and iPhone 4. Please have a look, share with others and let me know what you think as these are truly amazing stories. http://bit.ly/HvkSan
I took this photo of Matt Long on December 3, 2010 at Silvercup Studios in Long Island City, NY. The shoot by Munn Rabôt and Lost Highway Films was for New York-Presbyterian Hospitals latest Amazing Things Campaign.
Due to the noise coming from my cameras shutter, I could only shoot photos very briefly in between each of the 15 minute interview sessions. I was allotted about 10 minutes of time at the end of the shoot for a few more stills.
I’m posting this up today as I was so happy to hear and see Matt Long being featured on Comedy Centrals The Daily Show in a wonderful interview with Jon Stewart promoting his book “The Long Run”. I believe his story and message need to get out there to as many people as possible. Truly heart wrenching stuff. He’s an absolute inspiration to me. Congrats to you Matt and your successes. Wishing you nothing but the best!

Prepping photoshoot with Mark aka Vesuveo for the his new album called Shine. He’s an original New Yorker, Vesuveo rose up through the Los Angeles underground and burst on the scene in the late 90s with his critically acclaimed group The Anonymous whose Top 10 hit “Green and Gold” featuring Eminem remains an underground classic. Here’s his twitter page if interested. Good stuff.
Our guide for the night shoot at The American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Wish I remembered her name, she was super helpful and a great personality to boot.
